We developed the Reefscape Scouting App to collect scouting data during the 2025 Reefscape FRC competitions. The app complies with all FRC rules as it does not require any connection (Bluetooth, internet, data, etc.) and is specifically optimized for use on any Android tablet. Additionally, we have created an iOS version of the app, which can be downloaded on our phones via the App Store using Xcode. This app was developed by FRC Team 548, the Robostangs, based in Northville, Michigan.

The app is organized to collect data during the Autonomous, Tele-Op, and Endgame phases. It is designed to be part of a scouting system that works with six different devices. Each device collects data for a single robot on the field and produces a QR code upon submission. These six individual QR codes can be scanned, and the output is written into a text file. This text file can then be imported into tools such as Tableau or Excel for further data analysis. Tableau is a tool used for creating visual representations of data through dashboards, and we use it to help analyze and visualize the data to make informed game-time decisions.

Our user-friendly interface does not require any special knowledge—only a basic understanding of Reefscape. The app uses buttons and dropdowns for specific selections, allowing users to focus on the game without unnecessary distractions. It includes options for every possible game outcome to ensure comprehensive data analysis.

Additionally, this year, we introduced a history page where scouted matches are saved and can be edited. Previous games can also be searched for easy reference, to ensure that we do not need to rescout.
