FIRST Tech Challenge

FIRST Tech Challenge is designed for students to compete head-to-head using a sports model. Teams design, build, and program their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams.  Robots are built using preapproved robotics kits, parts and materials using a REV Driver and Controller Hubs.  Teams develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles.  Also teams engage in outreach events to recruit other students into STEM and robotics.  Teams compete in two qualifying competitions in Nov/Dec with the opportunity to advance to the state competition in December.  Additional fees may be incurred depending on grant and sponsorship funding. Teams are coached by parents and meet 2-3 times a week in member homes.  Max 15 students per team.  Teams are formed in the summer and the season runs from September to December.

Estimated Dues: $20
